It is often said that we have only a handful of truly great teachers in our lives. Lauren is one of those great teachers, and her teaching was, for me, transformative.

The Studio: Private Music Lessons, L.L.C.

I have a passion for teaching that spans a lifetime and includes over two decades of experience as both, an educator and performer across North America, Europe and Asia. The Studio gives me the opportunity to share that experience and passion for music with others. It brings me great joy to enable my students to fulfill their musical dreams!

I teach voice and audition preparation (specializing in a wholistic and healthy vocal technique. I specialize in musical theater and work with students across myriad genres. I also teach piano and acoustic guitar.

My well-rounded performance experience and comfort across diverse genres of music allow me to tailor lessons to a student’s musical interests, age and skill level. While I delight in teaching students of all ages and skill levels, my experience makes me an especially fitting choice for advanced musicians – particularly for singers.

Advanced Voice:  I employ a technique based upon breath, alignment and vowel, allowing each singer to sing with his/her own unique and natural instrument. This technique enables a lifetime of healthy singing.

My musical experience encompasses many genres including classical, pop/rock and folk. I bring specific expertise in Broadway/Musical Theatre, American Standards as well as Jewish Music.

Audition preparation: We will use the tools of the advanced vocal practice above combined with professionalism that brings the comfort and confidence required to express the singer's best self. Performance is truly about communication. We will focus on exploring the repertoire text which facilitates an understanding that enables the singer to deliver a performance straight to the hearts of listeners.

Beginner/Intermediate Piano: We will build upon the skills of music reading/theory (melody, harmony and rhythm) along with an understanding of music theory allowing the student to explore a variety of repertoire.
